IN THE NEWS
Founder of List Counsellors Rich Reinhart Dies
Richard M. Reinhart, who founded list brokerage and management firm List Counsellors Inc., died Tuesday of cancer exacerbated by diabetes. He was 64, according to friend and colleague Dave Nussbaum.
Reinhart owned and operated List Counsellors of Allentown, NJ, for the past 15 years, according to The Press of Atlantic City. Before founding List Counsellors, he was president of the New Jersey Communications Advertising and Marketing Association. Reinhart was also a contributor to the direct marketing industry press.
“To know him was to love him,” said Nussbaum, president of Direct Network, a North Brunswick, NJ-based direct response marketing agency. It was Reinhart who encouraged Nussbaum to start his own company. “He was the type of person that if you called him up with a problem, he would stop everything and help. A good soul. He would literally give a friend the shirt off of his back.”
Reinhart is survived by his wife Denise; daughters Stephanie and Brooke; sons Robert and Todd; a sister, Sue Kelly; and four grandchildren, Jake, Karley, Jack, and Luke, according to The Press of Atlantic City.
A memorial service was held on Sept. 16 at the Cape Island Baptist Church. Donations may be made in his memory to either the Cape Island Baptist Church, or to Cape May Stage, both in Cape May, NJ.
List Management VP at Teramedia Marissa Schineller Dies
Marissa Schineller, 27, vice president of list management at Teramedia Corp., died unexpectedly on Sept. 16.
“She was on the express track in her career, as one of the rising stars in direct marketing,” said Scott Hardigree, vice president and chief marketing officer at Teramedia Corp.
Schineller of Coral Springs, FL, joined Teramedia two years ago as an accounts coordinator. She quickly was promoted to list manager and then vice president of list management. She previously worked for IBM Direct and Tiffany’s direct marketing department.
Survivors include her mother Linda Schineller and one sister. Arrangements are being made for services in Buffalo, NY, according to Hardigree.
