The Professional Education Institute has appointed Gnames Advantage L.P. as manager of its Carleton Sheets and Hume Publishing lists, effective Aug. 1. The Carleton Sheets Buyers master file contains more than 1.1 million buyers from the last 36 months; generated by direct response TV, radio and the Internet. These individuals paid an average of $350 on credit card for a real estate investment program. Another master file Carleton Sheets Real Profits Newsletter Subscribers identifies 670,000 individuals who paid an average $84 for a subscription. Some 478,000 names are listed on the Carleton Sheets Inquirers file. The Hume/Carleton Sheets Enhanced master file consists of 1.5 million buyers from the last 36 months. Some 466,000 last-36-month subscribers are found on the Hume Publishing Subscribers file, which targets an audience who purchased various types of investment programs. The Hume names were generated from direct response TV, space advertising and inbound telemarketing upsells. List Services Corp. was the prior manager of these files.

MeritDirect has been retained to serve as postal list manager for Jupitermedia Corp.’s online media division JupiterWeb. This list portfolio includes an information technology professionals file with the names of 549,460 subscribers to various e-mail newsletters published by JupiterWeb. A small business master file consists of 161,296 subscribers. Other subscriber files include Devx, Earthweb.com and Internet.com from Jupitermedia, with counts ranging from 52,693 to 279,659, reach various kinds of information technology and Internet industry professionals. Walter Karl Inc. was the former manager.
