General merchandiser NextTen recently introduced catalog blow-in and package insert programs. The roughly 4 million catalogs mailed annually will include up to two inserts each, no larger than 6 by 6 inches. For the PIP, a maximum of four inserts will be placed inside 280,000 packages shipments annually, no larger than 3-7/8 by 6-3/4 inches. The maximum weight for both programs is .25 ounce.

Questex Media Postal and E-mail
MeritDirect has been reappointed as the manager for a postal and e-mail list portfolio recently acquired by Questex Media Group Inc. The new business-to-business publishing company was formed last month by Audax Group, an investment firm that purchased these assets from Advanstar Communications Inc. This list portfolio contains nearly 1 million records and encompasses 24 trade publications and 11 trade shows. The new list owner serves the technology, beauty, travel, hospitality, leisure, home entertainment and other industries. Some of the magazine titles include American Salon, Cadalyst, GPS World, Pest Control, Response and Wireless Asia. MeritDirect managed these files when Advanstar owned them and continues to manage other files for Advanstar.
