Gary S. Laben will succeed Mike W. Hail as president and chief executive officer of KnowledgeBase Marketing. The transition will be complete when Hail retires on June 30.
Laben had previously been executive vice president, sales and marketing of the Richardson, TX-based marketing information and services firm. He joined the company in June 2000.
Hail was a founder of iRent America, which along with Customer Management Services and Dynamic Marketing Services was combined to create KnowledgeBase Marketing in 1997. In April 1999, KnowledgeBase Marketing was bought by Impiric, a Young & Rubicam subsidiary.
“I selected Gary to succeed me because he understand the issues and realities of the direct we are moving in, as well as understanding the best way to get there,” said Hail in a statement.
