Kmart Names Three VPs

Kmart Holding Corp. last week named three senior VPs to improve customer service.

Robert Norton becomes senior VP-stores with responsibility for field and headquarters’ store support. He had been chairman-CEO of FTD Inc.

Dene Rogers becomes senior VP-store operations, overseeing store support at Kmart’s Troy, MI, headquarters to improve operations in stores. Rogers had been senior VP-business development at General Electric Capital Corp. before joining Kmart in October 2003.

David Whipple becomes senior VP-associate resources, heading up Kmart’s human resources department. He had been head of human resources at Ahold’s U.S Foodservice and Top’s Markets divisions.

“The goal is to deliver a better store experience for our customers while continuing to enhance the profitability of our operations,” said Kmart CEO Julian Day in a statement.
