Reprising its role in the two-hour “24: Redemption” season opener, the Hyundai Genesis will ride in the Fox series again as the automaker assumes a larger sponsorship in the action series.
Features of the Genesis will be integrated into the show’s storyline. Each episode of “24” on the Fox series microsite will be supplemented with a “Scenemaker” sequence that will highlight an element or a character from that episode. The Hyundai vehicle is also featured on the site.
Genesis branding will also be featured on Fox.com, Fox On Demand, MySpace and Hulu. Season 7 of “24” debuted in November.
“The unique in-show integration ensures exposure when the audience is most involved with the TV series, watching Jack Bauer in his perilous episodes, but the extensions allow us to build a relationship with consumers in the real world,” said Chris Perry, director of marketing communications, Hyundai Motor America, in a statement.
Fox will also give the series special on-air plugs during its coverage of the Major League Baseball playoffs and the World Series.
A “24: Redemption” integration reel is currently being shown in Hyundai dealerships throughout the U.S.
