Hallmark is seeking votes for the top creation in its first card competition tied to (Product) Red.
Ten finalists have been chosen in the online contest, where people last month submitted card designs inspired by Hallmark’s partnership with (Product) Red, the non-profit initiative aimed at eliminating AIDS in Africa. Each finalist receives $250 with Hallmark matching the funds with a contribution to the Global Fund. Entries were judged on theme, creativity and the card’s ability to be used for multiple occasions.
And now, the public gets its say. Visitors to http://www.Hallmark.com/you can pick their favorite through Jan. 10. The top vote getter will receive $2,550, and Hallmark will match that amount in a contribution to the Global Fund. The winning card will also be sold online for one year.
Hallmark will sell all 10 finalists’ cards on http://www.Hallmark.com Dec. 28 through February. Eight percent of card sales will benefit the Global Fund, the company said.
The contest is the first of a series Hallmark plans to launch on http://www.Hallmark.com/you. Next month, Hallmark is rolling out a pet photo contest, where people can submit humorous pictures of funniest pets.
Online marketing and e-mail blasts support the promotion.
