Haagen-Dazs Part of Hotel Room Design

Haagen-Dazs is lending its flavors to a boutique hotel in San Francisco, but not for eating.

The Nestle brand is sponsoring a “Sweet Suite” themed room in the Hotel Triton in Union Square. The hotel has rooms that were designed by celebrities, but this is its first tie-in for a brand-designed room.

It’s the only room in the hotel with a custom-designed ice cream cabinet filled with Haagen-Dazs pints, including its new Haagen-Dazs Reserve line. Guests eat as much as they like, for free.

The suite also borrows Haagen-Dazs’ colors and textures, with scented candles (chocolate, vanilla and dulce de leche), a headboard shaped like the Haagen-Dazs cartouche, a waffle-textured bedspread and a plush Haagen-Dazs branded bathrobe.

The hotel will donate a portion of the suite’s income to non-profit Delancey Street Foundation on behalf of Haagen-Dazs. It will also sell Haagen-Dazs bathrobes and ice cream-scented candles, with all sales donated to the charity.

Interior design firm Marsh & Clark Design created the room for Kimpton Hotels, which owns Hotel Triton.
