As gift cards grow in popularity, slightly more consumers say they are returning no items than in previous holiday shopping seasons, according to the National Retail Federation.
According to the NRF, 64.3% of consumers in a study conducted by BIGresearch said they returned nothing they received during last year’s holiday shopping season, compared to 62.4% who said they returned nothing in 2005.
In other findings, slightly more holiday shoppers are using gift receipts to make returns easier this year than least. According to the survey, 57.5% of consumers plan to give gift receipts with their presents this year, compared to 56.9% last year.
