General Motors has unveiled GM BuyPower (http://www.gmbuypower.com), an online shopping Web site.
On the site, consumers can reportedly shop anywhere, anytime. More than 73% of GM’s 7800 dealers nationwide are enrolled in this program, which also provides instant access to details about every GM make and model; independent third party competitive comparisons; access to all participating dealer new vehicle inventory. The site also enables people to apply online for GMAC financing, and send electronic messages to dealers to negotiate purchase prices.
GM BuyPower first debuted as a pilot service in four western states last October.
