The Forum for People Performance Management and Measurement has announced its executive committee.
The members are:
- Doug Press, president of the board of trustees. Press is president of The Incentive Group, a White Plains, NY-based performance improvement company.
- Tom Mahoney, VP. Mahoney is VP-sales for ITA Group Inc., a Des Moines, Iowa, performance improvement company.
- Paul Spitzberg, secretary. He is VP-special markets for Coach, Inc.
- Karen Renk, treasurer. Renk is executive director of the Incentive Marketing Association.
The executive committee oversees all forum activities, including developing, conducting and sponsoring research that explores the link between people performance initiatives and business success. The forum is creating an academic curriculum based on research findings and has become a clearinghouse for research on all aspects of People Performance Management and Measurement.
The forum is part of the Medill School of Journalism’s Integrated Marketing Communications department at Northwestern University. It was formed three years ago to help substantiate the link between motivated employees, customers and long-term business success.
The forum released a major study last fall that found that happy employees equal satisfied customers, even if the employees have no direct contact with customers.
