Congratulations to our Platinum PRO winner, the one promotional campaign that stood out above the rest as the most innovative, strategic, creative, results-driven program, and that time and time again was picked by our judges panel as a campaign deserving of accolades.
To amplify women’s rugby in New Zealand during the Rugby World Cup, Mastercard and its agency partner Octagon created the first-ever sonic trophy, a memento of the women’s game that would live on as a celebration of the event for players, future generations and Māori culture as a whole.
The collection of audio tracks encapsulated a living story—the emotions, passionate fans and community recordings themed around each Player of the Match. More than 2,000 minutes of gameplay were captured across six weeks, edited into soundtracks and embedded into 26 trophies, which were then awarded to the Players of the Match after the games’ final whistle.
