Equity Marketing Inc. will acquire the principal assets of Upshot, a direct and promotional marketing agency, from HA-LO, pending approval of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court in Chicago.
Terms were not disclosed.
Upshot is a unit of Chicago-based marketing agency HA-LO Industries, which last year filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection. Even though Upshot was not included in the Chapter 11 filing its sale is still subject to court approval. The approval is expected within 60 days.
Equity Marketing, a marketing services firm, is based in Los Angeles.
