A database with more than 2 million addresses has been developed to operate a government sponsored direct marketing program in the United Arab Emirates, reported the Khaleej Times.
The program was established to reverse recent declines in domestic mail volume experienced by Emirates Post, headquartered in Dubai, UAE.
The database identifies post office box subscribers and provides information derived from various government agencies. It enables marketers to profile target markets based on selection such as emirate area, business activity, occupation, income, age, gender and company size.
Emirates Post projects mail volume will increase between 2- and 5% annually as its direct marketing program becomes more established. Emirates Post offers database, printing, mailing and response management services, the newspaper reported.
