Elvis Sighted on Gift Cards

Elvis can be sighted in numerous pocketbooks and wallets in a limited-edition branded gift card launched this month to commemorate the King’s first recording 50 years ago.

Elvis Presley Enterprises and Clarity Payment Solutions have teamed to provide the prepaid MasterCard gift cards featuring two different designs that can be purchased in amount ranging from $25 to $100.

Clarity hosts a Web site at www.elvisgiftcard.com, where consumers can order the cards. Elvis Presley Enterprises markets the cards at its site www.elvis.com and will distribute promotions about the card through more than 700,000 e-newsletters to fans that joined The Elvis Presley Collectors Club, and site visitors, said Scott Williams, manager of marketing for Elvis Presley Enterprises.

Elvis recorded his history-making That’s All Right first single release on July 5, 1954.
