Last week we brought you the finalists of our first-ever Top Women in Marketing awards. And now, we're unveiling the winners. A special congratulations goes out to Pia Barlow, EVP of Originals Marketing at HBO Max, who took home the highest honor, The Marketer of the Year Award. We invite you to get to know these fabulous women—honored for marketing expertise in data, martech, audience engagement and much more—and hear about their inspiring accomplishments this past year.
“Getting to learn more about the finalists in this year’s inaugural Top Women in Marketing program has been a master class in marketing,” says Jessica Heasley, Group Editor & Publisher at Chief Marketer. “This talented collective of women represents the kind of leadership, fortitude and creativity that kept this industry moving forward in a time of unprecedented challenges. We congratulate all of this year’s finalists and winners, and celebrate all women in marketing for their accomplishments this year.” Cheers to that!
Speaking of expert pivots, let’s talk Michelob ULTRA’s pandemic-born hybrid experience, the fitness platform MOVEMENT Live. Featuring virtual and in-person workouts, happy hours and sweepstakes throughout 2022, the program’s latest chapter invites virtual attendees to participate while treating in-person ones to group gatherings with food, live music, workouts, swag and a couple of free beers.
Meanwhile, in the data and adtech spaces, the term “zero-party data” has created a sufficient amount of buzz this past year. We take a look at the customer relationship it aspires to develop, how it differs from first-party data, and the benefits of using zero-party data within a privacy-focused marketplace.
And finally, we’ll leave you with some technology predictions for 2022—from integrated data sets to virtual event platforms to marketing in the metaverse.
Until next week,
