eCOST.com, a subsidiary of IdeaMall (formerly Creative Computers), will acquire Entrepreneur.com, a small-business Web site. The transaction is a stock transfer that will result in Entrepreneur Media, Entrepreneur.com’s parent company, retaining a 35% interest in the new firm.
Entrepreneur.com provides a forum for small business owners to exchange ideas, confer with industry experts, and purchase products and services. ECOST.com offers computer products, software, and office supplies to its site visitors.
