The Direct Marketing Educational Foundation (DMEF) will honor Stephen R. Polk, chairman, president and CEO of R.L. Polk & Co.; and Experian for their leadership roles in expanding direct marketing education.
Polk, a member of DMEF’s Board of Trustees, will receive the 2003 DMEF Educational Leadership Award. He has supported 15 DMEF Collegiate Institute programs since 1989, influencing more than 800 students during that time.
At his urging, R.L. Polk & Co. led the first DMEF Advanced Collegiate Institute in 2001, for students who already had taken DM courses or who had some DM industry experience. In 1996, DMEF named a direct marketing library at Northwood University in Midland, MI in Polk
