The Neiman Marcus Group, Inc., had revenue of $214 million for the four weeks ended May 26, up 4.9% from May 2000’s level of $204 million. When comparing results based on same-store sales only, the Chestnut Hill, MA-based retailer had revenue of $212.7 million.

The chain’s specialty retail stores units, which include Neiman Marcus stores and Bergdorf Goodman, rose 3.9%. But these results were outstripped by revenue gains in the direct marketing segment (Neiman Marcus Direct), which rose 6.6%.
