Dell Inc. is cutting more than 1,200 jobs, about 900 of them at a call center in Edmonton, Alberta by the end of July, according to wire service reports.
The computer direct marketer said it would make smaller reductions in Oklahoma City and Ottawa.
Last year, Dell closed a consumer sales center in Roseburg, OR and another near Waco, TX to eliminate 480 jobs. It also laid off 250 workers at a Nashville, TN. facility.
