Courtenay Communications is in serious discussions to purchase the Direct Marketing Days New York conference, BtoB Online reported.
The conference spokeswoman would not confirm the seriousness of the discussions. “There is no ink on any contract right now,” said Connie LaMotta, media consultant of DMD New York.
But Adrian Courtenay, Courtenay Communications president and publisher of DM News, told BtoB that the deal may close by the end of this week.
There are ongoing discussions with Courtenay, and with a number of other possible buyers, LaMotta said.
The DMD board of directors “will continue to discuss a broad range of opportunities,” said Bill Black, board chairman, in a statement. Those have included acquisitions, new ventures, strategic partnerships, asset sales and divestitures.
