Coupon Problems Lead to Checkout Rage

A woman buying groceries at a Pennsylvania grocery store earlier this month slowed down the checkout line with coupon problems, which ended in a scuffle in the parking lot.

The incident began when the woman had trouble with the coupons she was trying to use at the Giant Food Store in Pennsboro Commons. When the checkout line became slowed down, the woman behind her asked how long the transaction would take, according to news reports.

The first woman became angry and cursed the woman waiting behind her.

After the two women left the store, the second woman was allegedly confronted by the first woman’s husband, who had been waiting for her. The husband grabbed and shoved the woman and knocked over her shopping cart. She sustained bruised legs and a swollen wrist, the report said. The husband faces charges of simple assault, harassment and disorderly conduct, the report said.

No word on what the tie up was with the coupons.
