Circulation Excellence Awards Presented

PC Magazine won the first prize for consumer magazines with circulation of 1 million or more at the Circulation Excellence Awards presented today at the Circulation Management Conference & Expo. Yahoo! Internet Life took the silver in that category.

Weight Watchers magazine received the gold for consumer magazines with circulation with 400,000 to 999,999. The Silver went to Electronic Gaming Monthly.

For circulation up to 399,999, Yoga Journal was awarded first prize for consumer magazines, with Workbench getting the silver.

Among business-to-business publications, in the category of consumer magazines with circulation 100,000 or larger, two magazines shared the gold: CRN and VARBusiness.

For b-to-b with circulation 100,000 or larger, two publications won second prize as well: InformationWeek and Commercial Carrier Journal.

Florida Trend won the gold for b-to-b magazines with a circulation between 50,000 and 99,000.

For b-to-b publications with circulation up to49,999, Lightwave took the gold, and Computer Graphics World clinched the silver. People Weekly was the recipient of the Lifetime Achievement Award.

*Real Simple, silver for consumer magazines
*CIO Insight, gold for b-to-b publications *Semiconductor magazine, silver for b-to-b publications

The Best Use of Internet prizes went to:
*The Atlantic Monthly, silver for consumer magazines
* Weight Watchers, gold for consumer magazines
*InformationWeek, gold for b-to-b publications
The conference runs Wednesday at the New York Hilton.
