The product, called Tilt, is a raspberry-flavored malt beverage that blends caffeine, guarana and ginseng with alcohol. It marks the St. Louis-based brewer’s latest attempt to expand its line into the alternative beverages market.
“The nationwide launch of Tilt demonstrates Anheuser-Busch’s commitment to the development of innovative new alcohol beverages,” said Pat McGauley, Anheuser-Busch VP-innovation/new products, in a statement. “We recognize that contemporary adults have many choices in today’s competitive market, but we expect the versatility of Tilt to accommodate a wide range of drinking occasions that will help us maintain and grow our share of the alcohol category.”
The 16-ounce can is rolling out nationwide, with a full product launch expected by October.
