Affinion Reports $66 Million Decline in Second Quarter Revenues

Affinion Group Inc., an affinity direct marketing firm, reported unaudited net revenues of $264 million for the second quarter that ended June 30, compared to $333 million reported for the same period last year.

The company said the $66 million decline in the second quarter was related accounting adjustments made in 2005 for the acquisition of the marketing services division of Cendant Corp. Affinion acquired all the assets and liabilities of that division. The acquisition was completed Oct. 17, 2005.

Affinion’s reported income loss for the second quarter was $90 million. Net revenues recognized for the period were less than they otherwise would have been, the company said.
