TeleTech Expands Temporary Staff for Transition to Digital TV

The upcoming transition from analog to digital television signals is prompting TeleTech Holdings Inc. to hire 1,000 temporary full and part-time customer service reps this month.

Temporary staff will work from their homes, starting Feb. 7, in the El Paso, TX, area. TeleTech already has roughly 1,000 regular employees in its home-based workforce.

The temporary hires will provide inbound customer service support, which doesn’t involve sales.

TeleTech has about 50,000 employees and 39,600 workstations, among 86 telemarketing centers located in 17 countries.
