TeleTech Holdings Inc. plans to add another 1,200 workstations to its international teleservices centers before the end of the fourth quarter.
Englewood, CO-based TeleTech’s overall capacity is expected to increase by 5,700 workstations for the entire year. Nearly all its new workstations are located in overseas facilities.
TechTech operates nearly 40,000 workstations in 17 countries. It generates nearly 45% of revenues from centers located in Argentina, Canada, Costa Rica, Malaysia, Mexico, the Philippines and South Africa.
The company reported $369.1 million in third quarter revenues, which reflects a 4% increase compared to the third quarter of 2007. However, the strengthening of the U.S. dollar relative to foreign currencies nipped by $5 million what otherwise would have been an even higher tally.
Business growth coming from new clients has been offsetting a lower volume of business coming from established clients, particularly in the retail, travel and leisure sectors.
TeleTech is projecting it will not see a significant increase in fourth quarter seasonal business this year, as it has during past years.
