YuMe Inc. has begun testing desktop technology for managing, tracking and evaluating online video promotions streaming across Internet advertising networks.
The new Internet media technology will enable advertisers to display the current status of video advertising online and receive alerts when campaigns targeting Web sites, mobile phones and other digital media platforms are underperforming
It’s going to be an important tool for helping advertisers conduct video ad campaigns across the Web to ensure delivery and performance metrics are met, according to Jayant Kadambi, CEO and co-founder of YuMe, based in Redwood City, CA.
YuMe plans to expand testing for the technology with advertising agencies within a few weeks.
It’s designed to function as desktop utility for running video advertising campaigns.
Initially, the technology will run on YuMe’s own video advertising network, but the company plans to make it available for use on any Web site or Internet advertising network, as early as the third quarter.
YuMe operates more than 400 Webs sites and says it has more than 46 million unique Web site visitors.
Earlier this month, veteran Silicon Valley entrepreneur and former VeriSign executive Richard Yanowitch joined the company’s board of directors
