Glenn Novotny, president & CEO of Central Garden & Pet, said they are working with the Rangers to create special events that feature community activities, pet adoptions and product sampling at Ameriquest Field in Arlington, TX.
As part of the deal, the company will sponsor "Dog Day at the Ball Park" during a yet to be determined Rangers game. The first 15,000 fans attending the game will receive a calendar featuring Rangers players and their pets, and pet tips from Central Garden & Pet. Additionally, fans will be able to bring their dog to the game and sit in a designated area of the stands.
A season-long sweepstakes at Walnut Creek, CA-based Central Garden & Pet retailers will also give pet-owners a chance to win a baseball fantasy experience for their family. The prize package will include autographed merchandise, opportunities to meet the team, on-field access and the use of a luxury suite. All entrants will also receive a discounted ticket offer from the Rangers.
A game day promotion called "Dress Your Pet Rangers Style" will let fans submit a photo of their pet, dressed in Rangers gear, for the chance to win tickets to a Rangers game and have their pet's photo displayed on the video board at Ameriquest Field.
