InfoUSA’s shareholders returned three members of its board who had been challenged by an outside firm, according to a final tally of results from IVS Associates Inc., an independent election inspector.
The final vote means that Vinod Gupta, George Haddix and Vasant Ravel will serve on the Omaha, NE-based data firm’s board until the 2009 annual meeting.
“We are extremely pleased that shareholders have affirmed their confidence in infoUSA's strategic plan and direction by re-electing the Board of Director's nominees,” said infoUSA chairman and CEO Vinod Gupta in a statement. “The Board and management remain steadfast in our commitment to building value for all our shareholders.”
The directors had been challenged by an alternative slate of directors backed by Dolphin Limited Partnership L.P., an investment firm.
