Suave and Almar Sales, a marketer of hair care accessories, have teamed to launch a new line of hair accessory products under a five-year licensing deal. The deal allows Almar to use the Suave name.
Some 500 items will be available for women, men and children including elastics, combs, clips, barrettes, headbands, brushes and mirrors, for both adults and kids.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
The new products will elbow their way into a crowded category—$800 million—at retailers, including Family Dollar stores, in January. Suave is a Unilever brand.
