Rich Maradik, co-founder and CEO of direct marketing services firm Smart DM, has joined Gaylord Entertainment. Maradik will serve as chief information officer, and will report to David Kloeppel, the company’s CFO.

Rich Maradik, co-founder and CEO of direct marketing services firm Smart DM, has joined Gaylord Entertainment. Maradik will serve as chief information officer, and will report to David Kloeppel, the company’s CFO.
Nashville, TN-based Gaylord Entertainment operates several hospitality and entertainment businesses, including Gaylord Hotels, ResortQuest and the Grand Ole Opry.
Maradik joins Gaylord Entertainment from Acxiom Corp., which acquired SmartDM in January 2005.
Additionally, John Caparella has been promoted from senior vice president and general manager of the Gaylord Palms Resort and Convention Center to COO. He replaces Jay D. Sevigny, who will remain with the company as an industry relations advisor.
