Sharper Image Corp. reported fourth quarter sales of $213.9 million, up from fourth-quarter 2001’s $161.2 million. Catalog sales rose 30%, to $50.3 million, and Internet sales, including auction sales, increased 61% to $33.1 million.
Total store sales increased 28 percent to $130.5 million; comparable store sales increased 13% from fourth-quarter 2001.
For the full fiscal year total company sales were up 32%, to $507 million. catalog sales increased 40%, to $141.4 million and Internet sales, including auction sales, increased 40% to $69.5 million.
Total store sales increased 28% to $296.1 million from $232.1 million; comparable store sales increased 14%.
The San Francisco-based cataloger and retailer will release net earnings information later this month.
