Rapp Collins Worldwide plans to cut the staff of its Chicago office and move some work to its New York and Dallas offices.

Six people will lose their jobs by the end of the month, and more could follow as the branch, which now has 40 people on staff, is converted into a service office, according to Jack Mello, a spokesperson for Rapp Collins.

The main Chicago accounts—those of United Parcel Service, Bristol Meyers-Squibb and Western Union—will be handled, at least in part, by staffers in the agency’s New York and Dallas offices, according to Mello.

Ian Baer, who heads the Chicago office, is considering other opportunities "both in Rapp Collins and the larger Omnicom family," Mello added.
