As of last night, Market Logistics Group, Winter Park, FL, had received bids on all but one category of the customer file it placed for sale at an online auction about four weeks ago.

Michael Dambro, president of financial services firm Market Logistics Group, said he was planning to check the credentials of the bidders and was expecting the sale to go through. Opening bids for the 200,000-name response file totaled about $20,000. Dambro said he did not know the total value of the bids but expected the final sale price to exceed $20,000.

The auction opened for bids at AskAD.com Auction, a site for the exchange of unsold online advertising space, Aug. 17.

The sale was Dambro's third attempt at marketing the file at an online auction. Citing privacy concerns, the sale was pulled in early August from two popular online auction sites, eBay and Yahoo!.

"I'm calling it a success despite the setbacks," Dambro said.
