Redmond, WA-based Nintendo of America next week begins an Ultimate Summer Gig campaign giving teens around the country a chance to join its summer street teams.
Between May 13 and June 14, consumers 18 or older submit two-minute videos explaining why they deserve the gig. Applications are available at nintendostreetteam.com and all the retail outlets of partner Circuit City, Richmond, VA.
Nintendo and Circuit City will conduct live casting calls in June to whittle down the candidate pool, then in July send 50 winners to "Nintendo Boot Camp" for training before dispatching them to the street teams for weekend work sampling GameBoy Advance and GameCube systems at concerts, malls, and fairs. The teams will scour Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Dallas, Los Angeles, and Seattle.
Winners will record their experiences online through diaries, chats, and photographs. Mosaic Relevance Marketing, Dallas, handles.
