NetCreations and Return Path have made an agreement to trade services to benefit all their customers.
“We are continuing our business model, they are continuing theirs’ and we are just sharing our services to do so,” said Michael Mayor, president of NetCreations.
Under the agreement, e-mail marketing company NetCreations will promote Return Path Inc.’s e-mail change-of-address service to NetCreations’ 500 network partners and throughout the Internet. The businesses in the network will offer the service to the consumers that sign up on their Web sites.
Return Path, which describes itself as an e-mail performance management company, maintains a database of 15 million e-mails of consumers who recently changed—or are about to change—their e-mail address.
NetCreations will also build a double-opt-in list for Return path by placing a form on Return Path’s site. NetCreations will also broker and market that list.
NetCreations, which has about 25 million records in its database, will also become a member of Return Path’s Assurance Systems, a service that analyzes how high the deliverability rate was on an e-mail program.
Each company will pay for the other’s services, at their regular cost, as they are rendered, according to Mayor.
