Neiman Marcus Group has reported a 1.9% decline in December sales—to $475 million--compared with the same five-week period last year. Comparable direct marketing sales fell by 0.6%. The Horchow catalog was the strongest of the firm's three direct brands. On the specialty retail side, comparable store sales dropped by 4.4%. Total comparable sales fell by 3% to $470 million.
