New England Business Service Inc. reported net income of $6.6 million for its fourth quarter, an increase over $3.6 million for the same period last year.
This year's quarter had one more week than last year's.
The Groton, MA-based firm reported revenue of $133.6 million, down 1% from $145.6 million one year ago. The quarter ended June 29.
For the year ended June 29, the business-to-business cataloger reported net income of $22.5 million, up from $18.7 million last year.
Revenue for the year was $557.5 million, off about 3% from $586.1 million last year.
"Comparing the quarters on the same basis, sales were essentially flat year to year," said CEO Robert J. Murray, in a statement. "We consider this to be a solid performance, considering the current economic environment."
