America West Airlines and Nationwide Advantage Mortgage Co., the mortgage affiliate of Nationwide Mutual Insurance Company, have teamed up to offer a new mortgage incentive marketing relationship for America West's FlightFund frequent flyer program.
Under the new agreement, FlightFund members who borrow from Des Moines, IA-based Nationwide Advantage will receive 1,000 FlightFund miles per $10,000 in principal amount borrowed.
Under the new program, a participant would earn a domestic roundtrip ticket from the Phoenix-based airline by taking out a $200,000 mortgage. The transaction would earn the member 20,000 miles, which is the minimum threshold for the free ticket offer through FlightFund.
"Nationwide Advantage Mortgage is a valuable addition to FlightFund's portfolio of more than 50 partners," Ken Feldman, vice president, marketing of America West Airlines said in a statement. "Our partnership with Nationwide offers FlightFund members yet another opportunity to earn award travel."
