MyPoints.com to Offer Merge-Purge Services

Clients of San Francisco-based MyPoints can now use e-Dialog's de-duping services on e-mail lists.

"Since e-mail marketing is so much more cost effective than offline direct marketing, de-duping names has not been much of a concern in the industry until now," said Merrill Gillon, director, trade marketing for MyPoints.

Gillon added that mailers are not only "watching every penny, but they are increasingly sensitive to the volume of e-mails that people receive."
