Moore to Buy The Nielsen Co.

Privately-held Nielsen has facilities in Kentucky, North Carolina and Ohio. Its product line includes catalogs, pharmaceutical inserts, annual reports, brochures, and marketing and promotional material. The printer has been in operation for 75 years and employs 730.

"The combination of Moore and Nielsen creates the opportunity for us to better serve our customers and allows us to offer them Moore's extensive range of products and services," S. Christian Nielsen III, chairman of Nielsen, said in a statement.

Moore Corp. provides products and services that help companies communicate through print and digital technologies. It supplies document-formatted information, print outsourcing and data based marketing.
