Nordstrom Inc. has reported preliminary sales of $414 million for the four-week period ended June 1. This is an increase of 5.8% over the $391.5 million reported for the same period in 2001. The Seattle-based company is reporting preliminary year-to-date sales of $1.69 billion, a 3% percent increase over 2001 year-to-date sales of $1.65 billion. Nordstrom will release second quarter earnings on Aug.
