Mark R. Baker has resigned as president, CEO and member of the board of directors at Gander Mountain Co.
Baker will remain as an employee of the company for a transition period ending Sept. 30.
During his tenure, Gander Mountain re-entered direct marketing with the launch of a new Web site and catalog. He was also involved in Gander Mountain’s acquisition of Overton’s.
Baker left Gander Mountain so he could become president and chief operating officer at Scotts Miracle-Gro Co., where he has served as a director since 2004.
David C. Pratt, Gander Mountain’s chairman of the board has been named as interim CEO of the company, until a new CEO is found.
