The recently concluded Canadian Marketing Association Convention and Trade show was the largest in its history, according to CMA president and chief operating officer John Gustavson. He described the event as the largest by 15%: The trade show attracted 156 booths, while the convention drew close to 1,600 participants.
Ribbons were handed out for "best of" booths at the trade show. Georgia Pacific Paper was the big winner taking two ribbons: one for best overall booth in the single booth category; and one for best promotion, also in the single booth category. Georgia Pacific's package filled with blank cards featuring graphics from their portfolio was also a popular success, with participants making return trips to collect another package
Xerox won for best overall attractiveness for a multi-booth, while Click Media won for a single booth. For product display, Pitney Bowes won the multi-booth ribbon; Target Marketing, the single booth ribbon. Herbert A. Watts Ltd. took best promotion in the multi-booth category.
