E-mail service and software provider Socketware has changed its name to Accucast.
Accucast has been the name of Socketware’s software since the company was founded in 1997.
“All these years, we’ve been Socketware and the product’s been Accucast, and it’s confused the heck out of everybody,” said Tricia Robinson, chief marketing officer, Accucast, Atlanta. “As the product got more popular, people started to refer to us as Accucast.”
The company has also unveiled a new logo with the tagline: “Powerful Messaging. Proven Results.” The new tagline replaces: “The world’s most powerful e-mail marketing system.”
“We wanted a tagline that reflected our longevity in the industry,” said Robinson. “We started looking a couple months ago at what it would take to rebrand ourselves and our product as either Socketware or Accucast, and we found that everybody knew us as Accucast.”
