St. Louis-based direct marketing agency Rogers Townsend took top honors last night at the 35th annual Tempo Awards, sponsored by the Chicago Association of Direct Marketing during its annual DM Days conference.
Rogers Townsend placed first this year in the direct response category (marketing division) and also took home the CADM Past Presidents’ Award for “SBC Memory Stick”, a campaign that created and strengthened relationships between IT customers and the sales force for SBC Enterprise Services. Direct mail pieces offered 1500 recipients the premium of a high-capacity 1.5 GB flash drive key if they agreed to meet with their local SBC account manager. SBC’s initial target response rate was 15%, but in the end, 48% of those contacted in the campaign took meetings with their local rep.
Chicago-based Digitas garnered this year’s Jay Gondelman Award for innovative achievement in electronic direct marketing with its “Interactive Experience” campaign for KitchenAid. And the first annual CADM Hispanic Marketing Award went to TargetCom for its “Dos” campaign for U.S. Cellular.
