The Listworks Corp. has been purchased by a group of investors and several employees for more than $5 million. The firm will continue operations under its current name but has relocated its headquarters from Pleasantville, NY to Hawthorne, NY.
The direct mail advertising agency’s executive vice president Walter Monzi, is one of three employees who invested in the firm and has been named president and CEO. The other two employees that bought in to the company declined to be identified, Monzi said.
The deal was finalized Dec. 18, 2002.
Bob Givone and Al Raskin founded The Listworks in 1982. Givone bought out Raskin’s share of the company about eight years ago. Givone and his wife Gina decided to retire and sell the firm, Monzi said.
Monzi said the firm is planning to expand its list brokerage and management operations and to concentrate on its database and computer services.
Fifty employees work for the company, which also has offices in South Carolina and Arizona.
