Overall revenue was $716.6 million for fiscal 1999, up 14.5% from revenues of $625.9 million in fiscal 1998. Results for 1998 exclude catalogers Popular Club Plan, Inc., which was sold in 1998, and Clifford & Wills, whose operations were discontinued that same year.

Revenues in the J. Crew Direct segment, which includes J. Crew Mail Order and the jcrew.com online business, was $278.5 million in fiscal 1999, up 10.2% from $252.8 million in fiscal 1998.
