Humana Inc. will open a new telemarketing call center in West Tampa. The facility, which will employ 200 workers, will support the company’s Florida Medicare business. Most of the new positions will be in sales and marketing, and will support Humana Direct Marketing Services efforts to sell Medicare benefit plans. The center will increase Humana’s Tampa Bay workforce from its current level of 320 employees to more than 525 workers by fall.
Louisville, KY-based Humana will lease about 40,000 square feet of office space for the new DMS call center at NetP@rk, 5701 E Hillsborough Ave.
Humana’s NetP@rk call center will support lead generation, telesales, new member services, member retention, local marketing and group enrollment support for Humana’s Medicare plans and senior products. Humana’s Direct Marketing Services currently has an existing 25,000-square-foot call center in Tampa’s Westshore area that employs about 200 people.
Humana also has DMS call centers in Miramar, FL and Puerto Rico that employ another 200 associates supporting Humana’s Senior Products segment. The Miramar call center is currently adding more than 50 positions, which will bring its workforce to about 185.
